Exactly yes, which is what we should be aiming for. Muso does let you edit the database attributes but I think most people will want to get the tags correct and never have to rely on database editing in muso, because if the muso database is ever lost then the master data is gone (though muso takes two backups internally, it's still possible to lose all in the event of disk failure). By having the master data in your tags, it's more secure (people are more likely to backup their music externally), and easy to rebuild your muso database just as it is to clear and rescan LMS. The problem I have to face with reading tags on a file scan is that I have a tag library for reading any custom Ogg Vorbis tag (for flac/ogg files), but the ID3 tag reader (for mp3 files) is restricted to the standard tags so cannot currently read custom tags. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jezbo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91575 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
