Weird issue ... Not iPeng issue per se ... i just got a second squeezebox radio to use remotely from my server. I knew about the issue with the SBR where you have to use the numeric IP address. I had previously - two years ago - used another SBR at this location using the WAN IP of my home network successfully.
This time, the IP address failed to connect when I tried to setup the SBR ... The only thing that has changed is my ISP at home. Here's where iPeng came in ... I used iPeng on my iPad and could see the SBR both devices were on the remote LAN. I first tried to use iPeng to force the SBR to connect to my remote server at home. It would not connect. BUT ... Once I setup a brand new server on iPeng using the numeric IP address, I could force the SBR to connect to that server. >From there, I can browse my remote library and start a stream ... BUT ... I can't control the volume from iPeng, but I can control it from the physical dial on the SBR. I can change tracks, I can pause and play ... But I can't control the volume.
