Hi, I have the same issue that the upgrade of the spotify plugin removed the spotifyd.exe (and other files?) from my computer. After reinstalling it with the file from this thread (in the squeezebox/server folder) it is there but it will not start as mentioned Before. I also have Norton Internet Security of the latest version and can confirm that deactivating the smart firewall does not solve the issue....
My humble conlusion is that it is not Norton but the new version of the plugin that is the problem.
