I've made a small tool here to discover mDNS devices https://github.com/philippe44/mDNS-SD/tree/master/bin. Can you launch it (select the binary version that works for you, only Windows or Linux x86 now) with options "-c 2 _googlecast._tcp.local" (no "") and tell me what you see.
