Had a play this morning. The same result as yourself; USB stick, no problem. Swapped it out for a Samsung M3 USB drive, direct into the pi, > *New Volume in /media/usb0* (Device /dev/sda1 with UUID > 4ED216A9D21694F5) But no usb0 when I looked to scan. Sorry:( atb Ronnie I have tried Raspbian headless on the new pi3, but apparently there is an issue with the pi dropping the SSH connection when only using the wireless connection.
