jenius, Don't confuse lack of depth of knowledge on national/international issues with stupidity. Two months ago Palin was focused solely on issues affecting her state. I actually think she's done a great job in getting up to speed sufficiently to compete well with a life long politician on the national stage.
CW, I can certainly believe there's some truth to your 'three point exam' but personally; I still think it has to do with her staunch anti- abortion position. What else could have gotten so many women so riled up so quickly? I think when a man is anti-abortion they are simply written off as ignorant and indifferent. But when a woman takes that position, I think she is somehow viewed as betraying her gender.
