I for one believe that this entity can be defeated, much quicker than what apparently you champion, the "McCain/Chinless-Graham/ Military-Industrial-Complex/Fatalist/Neo-Con" approach, which is to have a long, drawn out protracted "Half-Assed/Vietnam Style" engagement, followed by an occupation. --- I don't champion this approach. My approach would be very similar to yours ... find and kill ISIS with the fastest and least expensive attacks ... but stay out of Syria's politics and civil war. US meddling in the middle east is like fucking a tar baby and not wanting to get dirty.
