Everybody get comfortable, and brace yourselves......I actually agree with Plain Ol' "to a small degree" here with regard to Israel's domestic policies. "IF" we were to swap the term, "Christian" with the term, "Palestinian"; all Americans would be up in arms over the actions of Israel and the IDF.....The truth is, that a number of Palestinians are in fact Christian!
The UN mandated (in Resolution 242 and numerous other Resolutions) that there was to be two separate States; an Israel and a Palestine; yet Israel refuses to honor this agreement, and is on a constant land grab; taking lands that not only have nothing to do with its national security; but clearly are even in violation of treaty's that Israel has entered into. The Oslo accords are the best example, where Israel promised NEVER to develop or violate East Jerusalem, yet have done so. The UN also mandates that the City of Jerusalem is to be an "International City"; yet Israel seems predisposed to make Jerusalem it's capital, all the while stealing Islamic and Christian lands in and around the City. Palestinians are even denied the usage of the roads and highways, sewers and infrastructures within Israel, unless they become citizens and swear allegiance to Israel....Meanwhile Jews in America can claim dual citizenship. There's a number of other "Issues" I have with Israel; and although I strongly support Israel's right to exist and most importantly to defend itself; one has to wonder about our moral authority and logic in allowing Israel to literally practise an apartheid against all that are not Jewish. Having said all of the above, it was merely a month ago that I posed a question to the Group: "Can you imagine the region today, and what the conditions of Jerusalem would be like, had their not been the UN Created "Israel"?" I don't believe that there would be an open, International City, nor do I believe that many of the ancient wonders and historical sites would still be standing if they represent Jewish or Christian heritage. Most Americans confuse "Biblical Israel" with "UN Created Israel"; and there is a major, distinct difference! Finally, what I have just said also shows the distinction between my beliefs and Plain Ol's.....Plain Ol' can now take the politically correct stance and claim that he's "Anti-Zionist" versus being "Anti-Jew"; but this isn't really truthful or accurate. Plain Ol' has written many posts complaining about the Jewish people; the Jewish faith; the creation of Israel; as well as Zionism....Plain Ol' is anti-Semitic.
