It’s Not Just A Clash Of Civilizations, It’s Also A War Of Religions Posted on: *August 2, 2016* Col. Tom Snodgrass (Ret.), *Right Side News* History And Reality When the Islamic enemy first launched its jihads to install the Islamic religion and culture to be dominant throughout the world, they were and now are continuing to follow the commands of Mohammad (the religion’s creator), the Quran (allegedly the verbatim words of the god Allah), and the Islamic Sharia law (derived from the Quran and various accounts of Mohammad’s life). *Mohammad:* *“I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”* *Quran: **“And when the sacred months *[four periods during the year when tribal warfare was forbidden by mutual tribal agreement on the Arabian peninsula in Muhammad’s time]* have passed, then kill the unbelievers wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush.” *[*9:5* <http://quran.com/9> ] *Quran:* *“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day *[Islamic final eschatological victory]* and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger *[Muhammad]* have made unlawful *[that is, do not practice Islamic Sharia jurisprudence]* and who do not adopt the religion of truth *[Islam] *from those *[Jews and Christians]* who were given the Scripture *[the Jewish and Christian Old & New Testaments]* – fight until they give the jizya *[Muslim extortion-submission tax on non-Muslims]* willingly while they are humbled.”* [*9:29* <http://quran.com/9>] *Sharia:* “*Jihad means to war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word ‘mujahada’ signifying warfare to establish the religion.” * Of course, these unmistakable and incontrovertible imperialist mandates from three separate Islamic scriptural sources applying to all Muslims are but a smidgen of the hundreds of commandments in Islamic scripture, that is, the Quran (“sacred” book), Haditha (reports describing the words, actions, or habits of Muhammad), Sira (biographies of Mohammad), and Sharia (law) that dictate warfare to establish the Islamic religion as supreme over all other religions and beliefs. Naturally, the imperialistic mandates of Islam brought Muslims into constant conflict with the societies they sought to conquer, among them Christian Europe. Contrary to today’s Christian leadership that is frightened to identify Islam as the aggressive, politico-imperialistic doctrine which Mohammad created under the guise of being a religion, the early Christian leaders were clear-eyed and imbued with the courage of their religion’s namesake, Jesus Christ. For instance, St. Thomas Aquinas <http://www.onepeterfive.com/what-did-the-saints-say-about-islam/> wrote of Mohammad and his false religion: *“On the other hand, those who founded sects committed to erroneous doctrines proceeded in a way that is opposite to this *[Christianity]*, the point is clear in the case of Muhammad. He seduced the people by promises of carnal pleasure to which the concupiscence of the flesh goads us. His teaching also contained precepts that were in conformity with his promises, and he gave free rein to carnal pleasure. In all this, as is not unexpected, he was obeyed by carnal men. As for proofs of the truth of his doctrine, he brought forward only such as could be grasped by the natural ability of anyone with a very modest wisdom. Indeed, the truths that he taught he mingled with many fables and with doctrines of the greatest falsity. He did not bring forth any signs produced in a supernatural way, which alone fittingly gives witness to divine inspiration; for a visible action that can be only divine reveals an invisibly inspired teacher of truth. On the contrary, Muhammad said that he was sent in the power of his arms—which are signs not lacking even to robbers and tyrants.”* And Aquinas was not the only saint that possessed the wisdom and fortitude of Christ to call out religious fraud as opposed to the present day cowardice of the church’s pusillanimous ecclesiastics. Here are what other saints recorded about the Islamic false prophet, Mohammad, and his religion. From that time to the present a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst. Then, having insinuated himself into the good graces of the people by a show of seeming piety, he gave out that a certain book had been sent down to him from heaven. Thus he introduced and promulgated his message with robberies, murders, and blood shedding, destroying those who did not want to receive it, and with the same means his ministers conserve this today, until God placates his anger and destroys this pestilence from the earth.* *“Even if all the things contained in his law were fables in philosophy and errors in theology, even for those who do not possess the light of reason, the very manners (Islam) teaches are from a school of vicious bestialities. Muhammad did not prove his new sect with any motive, having neither supernatural miracles nor natural reasons, but solely the force of arms, violence, fictions, lies, and carnal license. It remains an impious, blasphemous, vicious cult, an innovation of the devil, and the direct way into the fires of hell. The Christian Church’s Current Leaders’ Denial Is Not Protecting Christians >From The Reality Of Islamic Jihad Today, Islam is slaughtering Christians all over the world from Southeast Asia to Southwest Asia to Russia to the Middle East to Africa to Europe and beyond. The most recent case of Muslims murdering a Christian in the name of Allah and his scriptural genocidal mandates occurred in Normandy, France <http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3708394/Two-men-armed-knives-people-hostage-French-church.html> when two ”soldiers of Allah,” that had sworn allegiance to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), slit the throat of an 84-year-old Catholic priest in the middle of a morning Mass. They were shot dead while screaming “Allahu Akbar” as they emerged from the church. Initially Pope Francis refused to even acknowledge Islamic jihad’s role in this clearly religiously motivated murder of the priest, instead he characterized it as “an absurd murder <https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/8561/france-chuch-martyrdom-pope>.” Not one of the Vatican clergy would even say the word “Islam.” However, later on reflection he had these astoundingly foolish things to say <http://www.breitbart.com/london/2016/08/01/pope-francis-speak-islamic-violence-must-speak-catholic-violence/> : “If I speak of Islamic violence, I must speak of Catholic violence. And no, not all Muslims are violent, not all Catholics are violent. It is like a fruit salad; there’s everything. “I had a long conversation with the imam, the Grand Imam of the Al-Azhar University, and I know how they think. They seek peace, encounter. “I do not believe it is right to identify Islam with violence. This is not right or true. “Terrorism grows when there are no other options, and when the center of the global economy is the god of money and not the person,” Francis said. “You have cast out the wonder of creation — man and woman — and you have put money in its place. This is a basic terrorism against all of humanity! Think about it!” For anyone interested in reading innumerable additional anecdotal examples of other Islamic atrocities against Christians around the world that contradict the Pope, see Raymond Ibrahim’s “Muslim Persecution of Christians <http://raymondibrahim.mgtestsite.com/category/muslim-persecution-of-christians/> .” It is impossible to know the exact number of Christians martyred by Islam since the first jihad against Byzantine Christians in Syria in 634 A.D., let alone in the entire world just since September 11, 2001, but a rough estimate from the Vatican <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_Christians> for recent times puts the number of Christians martyred at around 100,000 a year, the vast majority of which are victims of Islam. And the magnitude of the Christian genocide grows because the Islamic jihad goes unchecked by any serious effort on the part of the national powers of Western Civilization or Christian churches. Apparently the Pope doesn’t read what the Vatican statisticians publish. Furthermore, the ostensible leader of Western Christianity, Pope Francis, is so encumbered by foolishness that earlier he published his “APOSTOLIC EXHORTATION *EVANGELII GAUDIUM* <http://w2.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/apost_exhortations/documents/papa-francesco_esortazione-ap_20131124_evangelii-gaudium.html#Ecumenical_dialogue> OF THE HOLY FATHER *FRANCIS* TO THE BISHOPS, CLERGY, CONSECRATED PERSONS AND THE LAY FAITHFUL ON THE PROCLAMATION OF THE GOSPEL IN TODAY’S WORLD” containing these baseless, counterfactual assertions: *“Our relationship with the followers of Islam has taken on great importance, since they are now significantly present in many traditionally Christian countries, where they can freely worship and become fully a part of society. We must never forget that they ‘profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, who will judge humanity on the last day’.* *“Faced with disconcerting episodes of violent fundamentalism, our respect for true followers of Islam should lead us to avoid hateful generalizations, for authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.”* Regarding the first assertion that Islam is a faith in the Abrahamic tradition, please see my “Islam Is Not An Abrahamic Religion <http://www.rightsidenews.com/editorial/rsn-pick-of-the-day/islam-not-abrahamic-religion/>. One example from that article is Christ said: “Love your enemies <https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+5%3A43-45> and pray for those who persecute you,” while Allah said: “Fight in the way of Allah <http://quran.com/2/190-194> those who fight you . . . And kill them wherever you overtake them.” One need not be a religious theologian or a pope to comprehend that ‘a god’ cannot possibly be the same ‘deity’ when that ‘divine source’ issues completely contradictory instructions to followers on how to behave in exactly the same circumstances. One only needs the courage to acknowledge what common sense indicates. The Muslims’ devious purpose in claiming a shared Abrahamic religious heritage with Judaism and Christianity is to lull them into dropping their guard as Islam is constantly attempting to undermine these religions through stealth jihad. The Islamic objective is to get the principles of Sharia law accepted piece by piece within these two religious cultures. Pope Francis’ acceptance of this Islamic psychological warfare ploy of ‘Abrahamic fiction’ is a terrifying example of just how far Islamic stealth jihad has made inroads in morally disarming Western Civilization.” Of course, complete refutation of the Pope’s reality-denying assertion that “authentic Islam” is* “opposed to every form of violence*” is undeniable in the above opening quotes from Mohammad, the Quran, and Sharia mandating religious war against all non-Islamic religions. The Pope is just totally wrong about the Abrahamic origin of Islam and its peaceful character as is proven by Christian and Islamic scripture. Furthermore, the writings of the early Christian church fathers, that is, Saints Thomas Aquinas, John Damascene, Juan de Ribera, Peter Mavimenus, Alfonsus Liguori, Habenitus, Jeremiah, Peter, Sabinian, Walabonsus, Wistremundus, Aurelius, Felix, George, Liliosa, and Natalia rebuke the Pope unequivocally. Such a tremendous discrepancy between Christian leaders of the Middle Ages and today begs the question: What do contemporary Christian leaders think they know that the early Church saints, many of whom were martyred by Islamic jihadists for their courageous rejection of Islam, didn’t know? Common Sense Analysis First, why would the Pope and the leadership of other Christian denominations <http://nationalcouncilofchurches.us/member-communions/> like Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Greek Orthodox, Syrian Orthodox, Ukrainian Orthodox, United Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Religious Society of Friends, etc., slavishly take their “stand-by-my-Islam” <http://www.ncccusa.org/interfaith/ifr.html> position? One possible reason is that they see their first priority as a battle against secularism <http://www.crisismagazine.com/2014/truth-consequences-next-scandal>, and they regard Islam’s one billion-plus worldwide umma as a great asset in this conflict with unbelief. However, as Islam increasingly carries out the murder and mayhem inherent to jihad on a global scale, this alleged ‘Abrahamic sameness’ will give secularist opponents of Christianity ammunition to discredit Christianity as being no different from violent Islam. Once Christianity is convincingly tarred with the same violent brush as Islam, it will lend seeming validity to the atheists’ timeless charge that all religions lead to eventual war and destruction. The result will be that Christianity and its clergy will be seriously discredited. Second, there is another and perhaps even greater liability to seeking such a close, uncritical, interreligious relationship and identity with Islam, and that is the appearance and perception of the Christian church’s deliberate cover-up of Islam’s murderous doctrine of religious and cultural conquest. As the Christian leadership continues to falsely maintain that “terror has nothing to do with Islam,” Christians cannot but help to notice and understand that what their Christian clergy is telling them is not consistent with their daily reality. And just as the Catholic scandal of covering-up the priesthood’s sexual abuse of children irreparably damaged the Catholic Church, so a Christianity-wide scandal of purposely misleading followers on an issue critical to theirs and their family’s actual physical security could eventually cause Christians to reject their leaders because of their blighted credibility, which the leaders themselves are currently damaging. Whether the Christian authorities delude their followers due to self-imposed ignorance of the truth of Islamic scriptural jihad mandates, political correctness, moral cowardice, or all three, the Christian church will be held as an accomplice to abetting Islamic jihadist murder and chaos through their disseminating misinformation that impedes countering jihad. Consider the absurdity of the prevailing situation wherein most Christian clergy are telling followers that “Islam is peaceful, non-violent, and not involved in terrorism,” while Muslim terrorists are screaming “Allahu Akbar!” as they are murdering Christians! Conclusion Finally, It is difficult to hold the Pope and the other contemporary Christian leadership in anything but contempt as they servilely offer excuses, apologies, and untruths to their congregants concerning Islamic jihad, especially considering St. Thomas Aquinas’ scathing appraisal of the deficiency in intellect of those who do not or cannot see and denounce the entirely mendacious nature of Islam. Aquinas pronounces them fools. Those who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers, utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Mohammed forced others to become his followers by the violence of his arms. Nor do divine pronouncements on the part of preceding prophets offer him any witness. On the contrary, he perverts almost all the testimony of the Old and the New Testaments by making them into a fabrication of his own, as can be seen by anyone who examines his law. It was, therefore, a shrewd decision on his part to forbid his followers to read the Old and New Testaments, lest these books convict him of falsity. And the more than a millennium of assaults launched against Christianity by the heresy concocted by the wolf in sheep’s clothing and false prophet Mohammad, as prophesied by Christ, was addressed directly by St. Thomas Aquinas. It is the clear case where the Christian shepherds have a divinely mandated responsibility to protect their flocks from ravenous wolves.
