Do you know who scores the highest on nationalized tests? It is home schooled kids. That is to say, parents with no education themselves in 'education' and none of the facilities and tools and staff etc provided to them, do a better job teaching their kids than those public schools.
Do you know that the drop out rate is around 40% for public schools? And that is probably on the low end. Public schools are not educating through to graduation over 50% of the kids. Of that 40%, most of those kids are instead going over the community colleges, taking the high school courses, and testing out on GED tests. That tells us that they are not dropping out because they do not care in having that diploma. It tells us that the public schools are not meeting their needs.
