Iranian commando arrested at Baghdad airport: US http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hqPo2Vk0w4QUcS6eluWwd7qAlHgw 32 minutes ago BAGHDAD (AFP) — Iraqi security forces have arrested an alleged "senior" Iranian commando from the elite Revolutionary Guard's Quds Force at Baghdad International Airport, the US military said Wednesday. The military said they suspected the man of "involvement in facilitating Iranian weapons shipments into Iraq" under the cover of working for an organisation involved in the restoration of Iraqi religious sites. The man is alleged to have used the organisation as a front in order to bring weapons into Iraq concealed in shipments of building materials, the military said in a statement released late Tuesday. The US military has long accused Iran's Quds Force of arming, training, and funding Iraqi militiamen to stoke the sectarian violence that has convulsed the country since the 2003 US-led invasion, charges Tehran has denied. The statement also said the man was carrying an "unspecified amount" of cocaine. The arrest came as Iraq's parliament was mulling a wide-ranging security pact with the United States that would require all US troops to leave Iraq by the end of 2011, a pact that Iran has vehemently opposed. ==================================== Hey CTFM Editor! With all due respect, I doubt the veracity or accuracy of this story. Major Olson is the spokesman for the 4th Infantry Division, and his quotes can be found all over the web. Since you posted this article, it amazingly shows up in two blogs, using two different search engines on the web, with this same identical thread from Political Forum, but it shows up no where else on the web. I won't mention the name of the blogs here, because to do so would give them credence, and neither are reputable. They are predominately blogs that appear to be under the control of the individual who started this thread's prevaricate, misleading and untruthful rhetoric and innuendo. Of course, any thinking American who has spent any time on the world wide web knows the reputation of the blog, "TruthOut.org"; and that TruthOut.org *is not* known for truthfulness or accuracy. The story regarding Governor Palin's pregnant daughter being fathered by Governor Palin's husband is but one vicious story that TruthOut created, as well as some of the incredible lies and untruths regarding Joe Wurzelbacher, e.g.; "Joe The Plumber", that TruthOut also maliciously created and then spread. It does not shocke me whatsoever to learn that the individual who started this thread is involved in more lies and deceit besides just this group, Political Forum. It shocks me none, that this individual depends upon TruthOut.org for his news source. Below is a link to a web site, with every press release that Major Olson has made. With regard to Iran shipping weapons into Iraq, I don't think there is any question, and once again, Major Olson has released voluminous statements that in fact demonstrate that Iranians are involved in aiding and abetting the terrorists and insurgents that are fighting the United States military in Iraq: http://www.mnf-iraq.com/index.php?option=com_search&Itemid=99999999&searchword=Olson%2C+Iran&searchphrase=any&ordering=newest http://www.mnf-iraq.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=23399&Itemid=128 This is a blog from a soldier based out of Baghdad, who gives eyewitness accounts of Iranian weaponry: (There are multiple accounts by Sgt. Stryker, but on the home page, from November 2nd, this soldier gives a first hand example) http://www.sgtstryker.com/ Here are several links from mainstream media that clearly demonstrate how inaccurate, but more importantly just how downright Anti-American the initial poster of this thread really is: http://www.nypost.com/seven/04252008/news/worldnews/iran_weapons_cache_in_iraq_108035.htm http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/11/world/middleeast/11cnd-weapons.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/11/AR2007021100479.html http://abcnews.go.com/International/IraqCoverage/Story?id=1692347&page=1 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Thanks for being part of "PoliticalForum" at Google Groups.
