I disagree. They lost because they didn't perceive McCain and Palin as being smart enough. 1. McCain barely knows how to send an email. 2. Palin can see Russia from her backyard. So they vote for a bigger liberal in protest? No. They wanted a guy who is hip, young, and understands technology and the technological hurdles we are facing as a nation...lest other nations do what conservatives will forbid. This puts the US at a distinct economic disadvantage. Old farts generally do not understand these things. And in the case of McCain, could care less about them.
