John McCain did not represent the core values of conservatism, (neither did President Bush or his father).
Holly, I re-joined and got active about a year ago. I saw McCain as the lessor of the two evils, as many who voted for Obama saw Obama to be the "Lessor Of The Two Evils". It is time to take our Party back, and what I mean to say, is that we need to dethrone those with egalitarian and fundamentalist viewpoints, (e.g.; the "NeoCons" and the religious right) who have controlled the Party heirarchy for the last ten years. Our Party needs to be led by those with core conservative, constitutional/libertarian values. Those in the mold of Ronald Reagan and others.
