Maybe if the torture was used by the correct trained
people on the correct terrorists for the correct reasons
we wouldn't be having this discussion, however the facts
say this did not happen.

Amateurs tortured to death prisoners, took trophy pictures,
and got no useful intelligence. Others tortured prisoners
not to protect America but to get back fill Intelligence to
justify the unprovoked war of aggression in Iraq especially
after no WMD;s were found. Finally Bush repeatedly said
that the US did not torture, and the truth is Bush set up
a program of torture. The White House tried to changed the terminology
to 'enhanced interrogation' and then set up cover by having White
house lawyers write briefs saying enhanced interrogations
did no permanent damage, despite the 98 dead prisoners
held for questioning. Let's not also forget the need of doctor
supervision. Why was that needed for a 'non lethal enhanced
interrogations'?
