1) The lack of trust is a direct result of Bush's 6 party talks..

2) China's worry is not the survival of N Korean leadership, but a
failed nuke state on the border...

3) Japan's worry is Obama will not back them when Japan fells it is
imperative NOT when Washington decides to (given Obama's temporizing
geo-political problems by talking rather than action...  Remember the
Democratic opposition to developing ABMs???   Japan does...  And with
N Korea so close that lack of sensitivity for Japanese problems burns
into memory...
