Dear Bruce Majors: For the record: I record the Glenn Beck Show every day. I can say with conviction that he is an expert at finding the un American, anti-justice, and the corrupt in Washington. But he has long since past my threshold of caring to hear yet another piece of his “dirt”. Following the 9/12 rally in Washington, Glenn Beck should have been rightly proud the he helped rally-the-troops for saving America. But he erred in supposing that “dirt exposing” alone could be a catalyst to straightening out our BROKEN government. Having political parties be in any way involved in the governing processes is a clear violation of the heart and soul of the Constitution, namely: “That fair play and principles of democracy shall have supremacy in America.” Out-of-the-gate, our Constitution VIOLATED its own principle by having an un-democratically apportioned US Senate. The founding fathers made a huge blunder when they assumed that those seeking public office would not have largely selfish motives. And they erred by allowing congress to “set its own rules” without stipulating that any rules made not be allowed to concentrate… power in any individual or group. The ‘rule’ that lets Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid call the shots is so clearly anti-democracy that it is laughable that no one before me has called that un American.
I will not waste my time saying amen to Beck’s latest ‘dirt’. But I will continue to try to get it through Beck’s hard head the our system of government is BROKEN and can only be fixed by going back to square one and correcting the flagrant problems that the founding fathers would have corrected, if only the had had the gift of foresight. As long as Beck insists that the voters can get riled up enough to (maybe) send a few ‘real’ Mr. Smiths to Washington, he’s not acknowledging that a few of those good people have already been sent to Washington only to be stymied by the party-in-power and the seniority system, BOTH of which are un Constitutional within its spirit! I have the easy solution for fixing our broken Government: A New Constitution of the United States of America! Unless and until Glenn Beck acknowledges that a new and improved system of government is what’s needed rather that a rubber bullet revolution of electing a series of Mr. Smiths, who will get gobbled up by the corruption in Congress within the first 90 days, then all of Beck’s latest dirt has zero chance of straightening out our problems. That man has a huge ego, It will take a real man to say over the public airways that our Government is BROKEN, because our Constitution wasn’t good enough— plain and simple! All Beck needs to do is to put these five questions on his chalk board: (1.) Is government responsive to the Will of the People? (2.) Is government honest and trustworthy? (3.) Does government consider who must pay the costs? (4.) Should lobbyists have more influence on government than… the People? (5.) Can the needed changes be made by voting-in better congressmen? When most Americans can answer each of those questions with a NO, then the resolve will have been reached to ratify my New Constitution of the United States of America. Please tell your friends, relatives and associates that a South Carolina man has penned and polished a New Constitution to finally put the People at the top of the pecking-order in this country! — John A.
