When the roof exploded open and Nick could see Julia he immediately ran to Julia still holding Kat in his arms. He was hoping Mitchell hadn't seen him talking to Rachel and that they could trick him but he didn't know if he had or not. In either case he was ready to help protect the ones he loved. His mouth dropped open as he said "no" at seeing Derek was with Mitchell  badly beaten. "Alex" Nick called out as he saw her going towards Derek. He held onto Kat knowing that the poor little girl was probably scared out of her mind.   Derek caught sight of Alex trying to come toward them and gasped weakly "No... stay - away -"  He then clawed just as weakly at the demon's hand about his throat as Mitchell walked forward and toward the library where the others were.   "Nick..." Julia extended her hands for Kat to go into, knowing they had to keep her safe before looking straight at Kat "Honey.. hurry."   She then looked up at the second floor.  Kat would be safe up there if she just stayed out of sight and it would give the team room enough to fight Mitchell without worry of her being in the middle of it all.     * * * * * * Rachel saw Kat with Julia and Nick and fell into step beside Mitchell, looking at Alex as his next command started to whisper in her mind.
