She slipped hers onto her second finger, left hand and tested its weight
thoughtfully, a million things running through her mind. Then she caught
Nick watching her and winked before whispering "Doesn't take the place of
the ring I got from a certain former Navy SEAL guy that's dosed up on
medication."
Then Philip announced his hunger pains and she ran her thumb playfully over
Nick's chin "Want me to make you one before Philip devours it all?"

"better not be better than the ring I gave you" he said kissing her on the
cheek. "And the medication isn't to bad." He slowly got up and waited for
her to get up, "a bite to eat sounds real nice right about now."
