"I won't go far," Kat promised as she peered through the glasses cases,
being careful not to touch anything.  She knew how store people were about
kids and touching stuff, especially if they had ice cream with them.  Some
of those nasty people actually followed her around sometimes, which made her
really mad.  Sometimes she touched things, just because they did that to
her.  She finally made it back to the area where Julia and Nick were
looking.  Did you find them yet," she asked curiously.


Julia smiled at the salesman before bending her knees to show Kat the rings,
then whispered "What do you think?"
