"They're pretty," Kat whispered back, "but don't tell Nick or he might not
want to wear it.  We can say they're........manly or something."

Julia giggled and looked at the rings again, absently taking a lick of her
ice-cream.  She knew that he'd be okay with the choice but what Kat said was
funny.

"Such wisdom at your age, kiddo.  Yeah we'll stick with manly." She winked
and straightened, looking around "Want to help me find a box for you to
carry them in?"
