Please note that I do /not/ show a soldered joint with the through board
hole on the "top" edge of J2.

You may want to check that through hole isn't connected to anything....
Just checked here, and the hole is grounded, so you will want to remove
your soldered connection if you are to get anything on the DCD line. I
will add a note to my Web page in case others make the same mistake.
