After adding logging support for libubsan (undefined behavior
sanitizer), it wasn't much work to also add logging support for
libasan (address sanitizer).
To enable, build with "make makefiles CCARGS="-fsanitize=address
-fsanitize-recover=address..." SYSLIBS="-lasan...". This works
with gcc15 and clang. The "-fsanitize-recover=address" allows
unit tests to complete instead of killing the testat the first
violation.
The result is uploaded as postfix-3.12-20260921, and is expected
to show up soon in Viktor's github.
ASAN logging can be voluminous, and the defaults are to terminate
a process, so I added some suggestions to the HISTORY file to make
small-scale testing easier. That info will later be collected in a
README file.
Does it make sense to test entire Postfix systems this way? I'm
not sure, but we now have the option.
