Hello all, I have a server running Postfix 2.5.1 on Ubuntu LTS. Over the years I have run many Postfix servers but this is the first time I have a problem that I just can't seem to find much information about.
Every now and then in the logs I see a message such as this: Feb 13 14:37:37 lnxsrv01 postfix/local[19279]: 6A861302508: to=<:blackhole:@lxxxxx.xxxxx.com>, orig_to=<tanzeel...@xxxxx.com>, relay=local, delay=0.49, delays=0.23/0.18/0/0.08, dsn=5.1.1, status=bounced (unknown user: ":blackhole:") In this case it is spam that has been rejected but in almost 8 years of using Postfix I have never seen this before. Here is the output from postconf -n alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases append_dot_mydomain = no biff = no broken_sasl_auth_clients = yes config_directory = /etc/postfix home_mailbox = Maildir/ mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail-wrapper -o -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME mailbox_size_limit = 0 mydestination = xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxxx.com, localhost.xxxxxxxxxx.com, , localhost myhostname = xxxxxx.xxxxxxxxxx.com myorigin = /etc/mailname readme_directory = no recipient_delimiter = + sender_bcc_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/bcc smtp_tls_note_starttls_offer = yes smtp_tls_security_level = may smtp_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${data_directory}/smtp_scache smtpd_banner = $myhostname ESMTP $mail_name (Ubuntu) smtpd_recipient_restrictions = permit_mynetworks permit_sasl_authenticated reject_rbl_client zen.spamhaus.org reject_unauth_destination smtpd_sasl_auth_enable = yes smtpd_tls_CAfile = /mailcert/ca-bundle.cer smtpd_tls_auth_only = no smtpd_tls_cert_file = /mailcert/cert smtpd_tls_key_file = /mailcert/ssl.key smtpd_tls_loglevel = 1 smtpd_tls_received_header = yes smtpd_tls_security_level = may smtpd_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${data_directory}/smtpd_scache smtpd_use_tls = yes tls_random_source = dev:/dev/urandom virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual Any assistance greatfuly appreciated -Frog.
