Yes, I recall your comments in that thread, and I whole heatedly agree with
your philosophy which you informed that poster of more than once if my
memory serves me correct. It is why I have excluded dovecot from my choice,
what is unseen today, may well be a universal catastrophe tomorrow.

The maildir++ patch at the time did not meet this basic requirement,

That is ok, nothing  has broken or failed with the myriad of large
installations  running it now, I doubt the world will fall apart if you
don't have time for another 4 years or so.
