I think you missed my previous message then because it contains all the
files (in whole) that I've modified wrt Debian Postfix package's default
settings, including all the LDAP filters used.

For LDIF I thought it was evident based on the LDAP filters I've sent :
each user entry has an "uid", a "homeDirectory" (e.g. /home/$uid) and a
"mail" LDAP attribute. The mail attribute is the address used by people
who send messages to a particular user, i.e. usern...@example.com (or
usern...@sub1.example.com for a subdomain).

Finally for the logs, I really think that saying that messages sent to
newu...@backend2.example.com give "unknown in the local recipient table"
on backend2 while messages sent to newu...@example.com are correctly
delivered (that's what we want) to the user's ~/Maildir/ directory was
sufficient.
