In addition to the NS records that name these DNS servers, those
servers need to contain records for your domain. You can use the 
'dig' tool to verify that:

    dig ns example1.com. @8.8.8.8
    dig mx example.com. @8.8.8.8

and so on. This uses Google DNS to show what a remote client would get.
