I question why you think you have a seat at the table on the decision-making process for how these open source software's operate? For example, at the ASF, we are not a democracy but a meritocracy. So I am not attacking you but yes, I am questioning your merit to speak on the matter. Lots of people have ideas and thoughts. Very few people take action like Wietse and do the work. So to me, your opinion on the change compared with Wietse's opinion are not equal. You may look at this as an ad hominem. I look at it as establishing whether you are or are not a subject matter expect in the field of OSS and giving you the opportunity to establish why your opinion should be taken seriously.
