In my previous message, I wrote:
> ini.set("c:\tests\test1.ini","section1","value2","'" text '"")as the way to write literal text into an inifile value preserving the leading and trailing spaces and those spaces will be retrieved correctly by ini.get. But what if you want to write the contents of a variable? (i.e. you want the fourth parameter to be an expression instead of a literal string) This: ini.set(fileVar,sectionVar,valueVar,stringVar) is OK only if you are sure that stringVar will not start or end with a space. This: ini.set(filespec, sectionVar,valueVar,"'" ++ stringVar ++ "'") will be OK whether or not there is a space at the start and/or end of the actual string which stringVar resolves to. Those added quotes will be written to the file by ini.set and ini.get will drop them when reading that value while keeping all the spaces which were in stringVar. To me, that all seems to be working correctly. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Yahoo!
