All I can think of then is the following:
Visit the "pproconf.exe | Key/Mouse | Setup", then,
clear all the "check boxes", then try again. If not work,
then disable further all the keyboard related ones, e.g.,
KeyTrap, and disable the hotkeys by executing
exec.hotkeys("off").
If still not work, then you might set to "non-zero" value
'Hook disable code (leave 0 for normal operation)'
in "pproconf.exe | Setup | Advanced setup | Limits".
