And you were right, along with John McGibney and the others who suggested
this. It now comes up with 56MB. This is a 1400cs/117 if that makes any
difference -- does this problem seem to be more common with older 1400s?

Incidentally, note to Paul Nelson: GURU (at least version 2.9) does not
say anything about the RAM cards needing to be matched, nor does it appear
in the Service Manual or User's Manual.
