hmmm, that kinda makes sense...

There's probably a "sweet" System for a G3/G4, which does MOST of 
what most users need, is stable, and doesn't gum up the works. 
Anyone care to suggest which that optimal Pre-OSX System might be, 
and why?

I'm kinda looking for a System to adopt in my holdout mode, and I'm 
not convinced that the last version of OS9 is necessarily the best 
one to use in the long-term.
