Care to elaborate on that a little more? Brands? Types? Suitable for what
models of R/C toys?

Radio Shack packed up and left here years ago, but getting fresh, new
batteries for my 540C at the local R/C shop does sound like a good
alternative to paying through the nose for "special batteries" at an
electronics shop...
