You cannot swap any of the other 1400 processors into the 117 1400. It's a hardware limitation, only the original 117 will work. And, ofcourse, the G3 upgrades and the like.

To the best of my experiences, the Apple 133 Mhz unit will work in the 117. If you have new ROMS in the 117, the 166 MHz unit will also work.
