I agree with Vicki on this one. If you're really serious about a good 'Book, save up a little and get a Lombard or Pismo, at least. I know that when I finally replaced my 190 with my Lombard, I never looked back. Get something that can run OS X, IMHO. It's worth it.

I've never seen the 1400CS screen (all mine are 1400C's), but I imagine it would be worth whatever extra you'd have to pay to get up to the active
matrix display.

Actually, the 1400cs is the active-matrix screen; your 1400c IS the
active-matrix LCD.
