ok, i've set 4=on and 5=on, the cf is set to master.... but how do i set
master on scsi card?
Are the pins near scsi connector suitable for this?
Thanks,
Andrea.

Hi Andrea That is the same set up as I am using the dip switches i
have checked for the adapter to be seen when it is connected to the
ide drive is 4 and 5 you also need to select The master setting with
jumpers on both the cf to ide adapter and the scsi adapter card, Then
it should boot,

I'm trying to use a ide-cf adapter with a powerbook duo, a duo 210,
with additional scsi-ide adapter, but it seems that i've some
problems because the system doesn't find any hard drive connected!
I've tried the ide-cf with a thinkpad and it works, but i would like
to use it in my duo...
Here's a photo of the cards inside my duo:

There's a 8 dip switch... i don't know what to do with this...
btw, as i turn on the duo, the scsi led flashes and then flashes
also the cf led.
I boot from an external hd (id: 4) but when i try to load utilities
for hd formatting i can't see anything!
Then i've tried to connect a small (80mb) ide hd to the scsi
converter and when i turn on the duo the scsi led starts to flash
(and continue flash until i turn off the pb) but the hd stays off
(no spinning drive noise).
Maybe the problem is in the scsi adapter configuration... do i have
to change that 8 dip configuration?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Andrea.

Hi Mad dog
Its vicki here in the UK i have been trying to get the duo 2300 to
see a compact flash wifi card using the internal ide connector
linked to a compact flash to ide adapter. The system is running
9.1 off of a 10gb ide drive connected to a scsi adapter and hooked
to the internal scsi connector.
It see's the CF drive if i use a CF memory card in the slot but
will not see the wifi card attached so ,i thought if there was a
cf to ethernet card then there would be another option.
I can boot the duo via the cf card also if i want and it extends
the battery life by hour's so it will come in handy for my
daughter to take notes in the school library when she is studying
and also give me an excuse for her to leave my 2400 alone.

Hi that is another possibility seeing as the internal wifi has
not seemed to work.
I will start to look for a cf to ethernet adapter does anyone
know if they do them.
