I reinitialized the disks and put on a fresh 8.6. I have two alternates for
CD/DVD extension: one is Sys 7.6s CD extension and the other is the current
8.5/8.6 version of CD/DVD extension that I modified with ResEdit. I seem to
have problems with either one. Sometimes the CD does not mount and I have to
eject and reinsert the disk.

I heard from one sourse that Apple does not support anything past 8.1 for
the Power Centers (any Power Computing?)

I think I have a full set of FWB CD Toolkit - but an older version, (2.2.1)
maybe it will still work with 8.5/8.6?

I do not however have a hard disk toolkit. Will anything else work?
Silverlining?
