I wouldn't be concerned. If the machine is up and running 8.6 now, I'd leave
well enough alone. I would, though, make sure that your friend has a backup
copy of FWB Hard Disk Toolkit and FWB CD-ROM Toolkit on a CD or floppy in
case he ever needs to reformat the disk and reinstall 8.6.
