1. Does your facility have any guiding documents/training on the use of 1 door & 2 door Small Article Monitors (SAM)?
2. Specifically when the RCA exit points that have a two door SAM and HP support is not in the immediate area or on the uncontrolled side of the SAM. When a worker is alone exiting the RCA and has more personnel materials (gloves, procedure, pens, clipboard) that can be placed into the SAM for a single counting sequence. What is your expectation of the worker for monitoring/removing this personal materials? 3. (Follow up question for #2) Would it acceptable for the individual to remove the cleared material from the SAM and then reach across the boundary to place it on the uncontrolled side of the boundary? 4. The same question applies to areas where there is a single door SAM. Dou you require any compensatory actions for the individual and/or RP Tech to monitor the hand they use to move the "cleared' material across the RCA boundary to the Non-RCA side? Thank you in advance for your help. Michael C.
