I don't know if there was any response to the below question from Ted, but in
GENERAL please respond with any reference(s) that provide respirator
efficiency factors including for various work conditions.
Efficiency = Time without respirator

[I remember reviewing this years ago but can't place the reference(s)].

Subject: Powernet: inefficiencies used for TEDE-ALARA
I would like to know what inefficiencies you assign when doing a TEDE-ALARA for
the following types of respiratory equipment.
1. Full-face negative pressure
2. PAPRs
3. MaxAir PAPRs
4. SCBAs
5. Airline respirators
6. Hoods
7. Any other respiratory equipment you use
Also, do you use any type of inefficiencies for other protective clothing?
Last but not least, if you use Non-Niosh MaxAir Hoods (for preventing facial
contamination) how do you handle them and who is responsible for them?
Thanks for any information you can share.
