Hi Harry,

DC Cook-1,2 mechanically degases The majority of US PWRs in the country
ues mechanical degas, and do not perform chemical degas as Braidwood does.

Our purpose of mechanical degas it to ensure that we minimize the amount
of gas generation from forced oxygenation, which is known to partition
small particles into the RVH head and raise dose rate. I know a large
number of plants that mechanically degas management program are:

Beaver Valley-1,2 Chemist Don Salera
Turkey Point 3,4 Paul Skinner
Surry-1,2 Darlene Brock
Davis Besse ? Vince Capozziello
Point Beach-1,2, Jamie Pierce
St. Lucie-1,2 Chip Bach
Farley-1,2 Stan Varnum
R.E. Ginna, Sharyl SNowden
Calvert Cliffs 1,2 Jeff York
VC Summer, Melissa Harmon

There are many others. This method is a key element to our source term
reduction program at Cook to enable 3 refueling outages below 37
personrem.
