Dresden uses both lengths. The shorter length is lighter and easier to
maneuver. The RP Techs like it over the longer version since, given
ALARA consideration, the shorter version is easier to keep track of the
end, less likely to get the probe contaminated, and easier to keep an
eye on exactly where the probe is. We are part of a shared instrument
inventory program with the rest of the Exelon Fleet, so the number of
each type fluctuates, but ideally we have a ratio between 2:1 and 3:1
long to short telepoles, but always have more long than short.

Subject: Powernet: Telepole

Fermi 2 would like to talk with individuals at your plant that are
knowledgeable about the Mirion Telepole.

There are two pole lengths available. We would like to know:

Who is using the shorter version

What you see as the advantages over the longer version

What feedback (positive and negative) you may have received from
individuals using them in the field.

What your "mix" of shorter verses longer versions is if you use both.

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Brad Krupp
