Subject: Powernet: RE: Use of PC Hoods

Required for all entries via RWP
At Hope Creek
We reduced facial PC's by > 50% on the fuel floor
Workers complain they are too hot and the Velcro on some of them wears and
comes undone requiring tap which then becomes a potential FME issue

Subject: Powernet: Use of PC Hoods

Millstone is implementing during our refueling outage the requirement to wear
(disposable Orex) PC hoods to meet our RWP full PC dress requirements for
contaminated area work. I'd like to pulse the industry on the following:

1) How does your station incorporate the use of PC hoods? (e.g., RWP
requirement, optional, etc..)

2) What has been the overall benefit of using PC hoods? (e.g., reduced PCE's,
etc..)

3) What insights or challenges has your station experienced from the use of PC
hoods?

Thank you all in advance.
