Doable? Most everything's doable. :-)
The big questions are what kind of effort it would take, and the configuration
of the associated hardware you'd like to support.
The biggest difference between the 405 and the current target processor is that
the 405 has a software managed TLB like the PPC 603/603e where the 750
(G3)/74xx
(G4) CPUs have a hardware table walk mechanism.
While it's not incredibly difficult to implement software TLB management, it's
also an area we haven't addressed within the scope of the current porting
effort.
