They are talking about running the system with no fan at all. Do that, and yeah, you'll crisp it. Use the AS5 properly and any decent cooler, and you won't have trouble at idle. Monitor temps carefully under load (use CPU-Z or SpeedFan, two freeware programs available -- Google them), and shut down P95 if they exceed critical (65C for most Core2 chips or Smithfields -- the predecessor to Core2). When I bought AS5, it did not come with complete directions. You'll want to carefully follow the instructions here: 1) CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and a lint-free cloth to clean any residue from the old paste away, on both the CPU and the die. Don't use paper towels, bath towels, and especially not Kleenex. They leave fiber strands behind, which create voids in the paste and kill its efficacy. Use something like a chamois, or buy an eyeglasses-cleaning kit. The little re-usable cloth that comes in one of those is perfect for this, as are the disposable eyeglasses cleaner wipes. Once clean avoid contact with ANYTHING.
