rich cultural and biological treasures in a soon to be developed area of the Andes
Mountains. And at 8p, explore the world of "Brazil's Vanishing Cowboys."
        Then at 10p, don't miss an all-new MSNBC Investigates:Lockup premiere...Inside
Folsom. MSNBC takes you inside one of America's oldest maximum security prisons to see
what's being done to maintain safety and how violence sometimes erupts behind the
walls.
Now, onto the full weekend lineup:

SATURDAY, JANUARY 11
6AM ET
HEADLINERS & LEGENDS: WILL SMITH
Before he finished high school, he helped make Rap music mainstream. Now he's one of
the hottest names in Hollywood. Will Smith has done it all. Along the way he wound up
millions of dollars in debt, but bounced back like a true prince.

7AM ET
HEADLINERS & LEGENDS: JANET JACKSON
She's the pop princess of an American musical dynasty. We watched Janet Jackson grow
from an adorable baby sister into a beauty with washboard abs. From the outside
looking in, it could seem like a charmed life, but Janet Jackson has had her share of
personal struggles.

12PM ET
HEADLINERS & LEGENDS: JULIA ROBERTS
With her high-beam smile and bubbly personality, Julia Roberts has been captivating
moviegoers for more than a decade. She's an Oscar-winner who can command $20 million
per picture. But her life has not always been as glamorous or as happy. She's faced
tragedy and heartbreak, yet she's surmounted huge obstacles to become one of the
biggest stars of her generation.

1PM ET
HEADLINERS & LEGENDS: DREW BARRYMORE
As a child she stole our hearts in E.T., and then as an adult became one of Charlie's
Angels. But for Drew Barrymore, the journey in between was not an easy one. Succumbed
to the pressures of Hollywood in her early years, she falls hard into drugs and
alcohol. She becomes a wild child out of control, all leading to a desperate cry for
help.

2PM ET
HEADLINERS & LEGENDS: GEORGE CLOONEY
George Clooney has been called the sexiest man alive. His role on TV's "ER" made him a
household name, and his good looks and talent landed him roles in feature films. But
the road to superstardom was long. In this hour, we take a look at how George
Clooney's longtime dream of a film career is finally thriving after years of TV pilots
and bit parts on sitcoms. He is proof that superstardom can come to those who wait.

6PM ET
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER: WALKING WITH LIONS
During northern Zimbabwe's eight-month dry season, temperatures can reach 115 degrees
Fahrenheit. In this remote corner of the Zambezi Valley, one bustling spring offers
the only source of water for many miles. But to satisfy their thirst, the herds of
buffalo, antelope, and other wildlife must face another threat -- a pride of twelve
lions that have claimed the spring as their hunting ground.
Boyd Matson hosts.

8PM ET
MSNBC INVESTIGATES: PAMELA SMART: A DEADLY AFFAIR
A decade ago Gregory Smart was found, dead in his home, on the eve of his first
wedding anniversary. Details then emerged about his wife's teenaged lover and a plan
to kill her husband. We talk with Pamela Smart at the maximum security prison where
she is serving her sentence for the murder.
Hosted by John Seigenthaler.

9PM ET
MSNBC INVESTIGATES: MURDER FOR HIRE
This program features what could easily be auditions for the amateur hour in the
murder-for-hire business. You'll meet people who defy all common sense to find
someone to do a job they can't bring themselves to do. What is captured on camera may
seem unbelievably foolish, but there is no doubt, these attempts to hire hit men are
real, and the officers investigating each case take them very seriously.
Hosted by John Seigenthaler.

10PM ET
MSNBC INVESTIGATES: THE HITMAN TAPES
Murder for hire. You might be surprised to see just how often it occurs. And we're
not talking about mobsters involved in organized crime. The people plotting these
crimes are average Americans... a pharmacist, a community leader, a housewife, even a
preacher-- all making cold-blooded, calculated decisions to have someone killed.
You'll see how each of these cases unfolds, because the plots have all been caught on
tape.
Hosted by John Seigenthaler.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER: S. AMERICAN WILD
This premiere episode of NatGeo Explorer is made of three great segments. In the

segment finds Explorer witness to the elusive jaguar's extraordinary riverine life as
top predator amidst Brazil's lush Amazon rainforest. And in the last segment National
Geographic magazine photographer Joel Sartore pursues the perfect shot of a killer pig
in a remote and dangerous Bolivian jungle.

***PREMIERE***
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER: BRAZIL'S VANISHING COWBOYS
For over a hundred years, Brazil's Pantanal cowboys have earned a living and shaped a
culture against the backdrop of a wetland wilderness. This is not a life for the
timid. On one of earth's largest alluvial plains, the cowboys ride alongside snakes,
through piranha-infested waters, and into jaguar territory. This is a life in many
ways at odds with the modern world. Clashing with the invasion of technology and newly
enacted environmental protections, the lifestyle of these cowboys is under pressure to
change.
Boyd Matson hosts.

10PM ET
***PREMIERE****
MSNBC INVESTIGATES: LOCKUP: INSIDE FOLSOM
Folsom State Prison in California-- is one of America's oldest maximum security
prisons. Since 1880, Folsom has gained the reputation of being a violent and bloody
place - prisoners housed there once called it "the end of the world."
The antiquated structure presents real challenges for those trying to maintain
security. Officers are outnumbered 92 to 1 by inmates. In this program you'll see
what's being done to maintain safety and how violence sometimes boils over anyway.
John Seigenthaler hosts.
