Thanks for responding. I'm falling at the first hurdle - trying to get a printer to work using printmgr. This is how I've set it up:
Printer > New Network Printer Printer Name: my_printer_ps Printer Make: HP Printer Model: HP Color LaserJet 8550GN Printer Driver: Foomatic/Postscript (recommended) Fault Notification: None Destination: my_printer:9100 Protocol TCP Options: Default Printer (ticked) Never Printer Banner User Access List: all OK When I send a printer job to it, it gets there but just sits on the queue.
