I've tried multiple steps in this entire post and still not successful. I have
a Win2k3 srv sharing a printer on the LAN. If I utilize the windows LPD
service, I can see the queues from the solaris 10 box. I'm not sure if there is
a better way to do this, but as far as it goes on my network, windows clients
are able to print pictures and text. On the solaris box I can only print text.
I have configured two printers, one; Epson Stylus CX5200 and another HP Deskjet
895Cse. I do not have the drivers for the solaris machines and not sure where
to get them. They seem to error out when printing pictures, and the document
name is always "standard input". So I've used the following to configure the
printers on the solaris machine;
  lpadmin -p Name -s x.x.x.x -I any
  lpadmin -d Name
I've tried the other ways suggested in the post but seems to only create a
local printer on the solaris box and doesn't reach the win2k3 shared printer
queue. I didn't have a local uri and copied the modified-uri into the system
for additional info.

Any suggestions or something more clear as to how to configure these machines?

very respectfully and appreciative,
Frank
