Bob, by definition, spam is all unsolicited e-mail which does not include
an e-mail address to unsubscribe and the funniest thing of it all is that
spammers have set up big families of e-mail address, so you unsubscribe from
, say [EMAIL PROTECTED] and then they use [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the spam goes
on and on indefinitely.

You don't need to be polite with those guys, since they are not with you at
all.
Also ,don't forget that the use of any app to BLOCK the senders does not
mean they get to know of your action. THey keep sending e-mails to you, but
they just don't reach your inbox. It's your little secret.

On many ocasions the first e-mail they sent is precisely to test the
veracity of the e-mail address and then , if you respond, they confirm they
can bombard you with more crap and spread the news to other comapnies,so
most likely what you have done is exactly what you should NOT do.

That is what happened to me with the Korean crap. One day I unsubscribed
from a list in Korean and next day I had like 40 ads in korean. It has not
stopped, but I keep them off my sight and my machine.
The day I don't run the blockings, I get dozens of them. THat is why I say
I can 't live withour Popmonitor.I export the blocked senders and the filter
lists( The filters is the equivalent of the RULES in OE) to all my machines.

One more thing about different modalities of spam. I can assume none of you
guys has ever fell into this trap, but anytime you get those signature
request for freedom, aimed to Mr.,Bush or against Bill Gates, or asking for
help in the desperate fight against hunger in Somalia, etc, etc, is but the
cheapest way to collect valid e-mail addresses from innocent people, who
think they are bringing some electronic help to "World Peace or hunger",
whereas the only thing you are doing is exposing your valid address. THose
lists are sold and then you wonder why you get so much crap in your machine.
