Dear Rick, Try this for a flash setting I love it, the old 1:2 flash ratio works everytime.
On the flash compensation set it to +1, and on the body compensation set it at -1, so making the flash the main light source, obviosly it would be better to have it with a flash synch of 1/500 like the d1x but you can at least live with it being sharp. Use this for during the day, if its at night and there are loads of street lights about, then turn the slow sych option on, so the background falls in, you may get a little movement, you can obviosly get rid of by using tripod or you may want it. Good thing is you can just set to F8 on aperture priority and the camera does the rest for you. I often put circular polariser on on sunny weather ( also acts as a neural density for those with low flash synchs) and shoot like this and where as before, I would scratch my head to calculate the exposures of flash etc, now its all ttl, I just concentrate on the images. Hope that helps for a play. cheers Ian Reynolds Tel : (+44) 0121-624-3237 mob : (+44) 07941-323971 see my new web page at Web : http://www.i4images.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
