I purchased an SB26 when I had my S1 and was not pleased with the results. Having just upgraded to the S2 I can say that the flash now works VERY well. All the functions now seem to work 'with' the camera and fill flash photos are now nicely balanced. A friend purchased an S2 and was using a Metz hammerhead - he borrowed my SB26 and purchased the new version (SB 50-DX) on the strength of it. He is getting some very nice results from this flash.
